Artist Statement

In the spring, I have many wonderful views of cherry blossoms from my windows as I look into the neighbour’s yard. Here, the delicate white blossoms are juxtaposed against a prickly background of pine tree branches. The contrast of texture with shadow and light combine to show off the true beauty of these little blossoms.
