Artist Statement

For me, orchids have come to symbolize light, life, and hope. I discovered this little beauty of a white orchid in the foyer of an office building, with the light pouring down on it from a skylight. There were other orchids in a nearby nook with a water feature, so there was a total little orchid oasis within the stark coldness of this modern commercial building.
