Lake at Dusk
0.75” wrapped canvas
Dusk can be a magical time, especially when you are viewing the last of the sun’s reflections on a body of water. It is also a difficult task to capture that magic in a painting, without making it look cliché.
This lake view is from the porch of our family cottage on a lovely summer evening. However, there was something of Tom Thomson’s “Northern River” and its’ silhouetted trees echoing in my mind as I worked on this painting.
